18-yr-old man in prison for raping 8-yr-old sister in Katsina
An 18-year-old man has been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command for allegedly raping his eight-year-old sister.
Daily Trust reports that the teenager had allegedly lured his young sister into a toilet inside a house at the Steel Rolling Mills Estate, along Dustin-ma Road, Katsina, and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
The suspect, a resident of Janbago Quarters in Katsina metropolis, was reportedly arrested after the victim reported the matter to their mother who lodged a complaint at a nearby police station.
When the rapist was arraigned on a two-count charge of rape and incest before Senior Magistrate Hajiya Falile Dikko of a Katsina State Magistrates' Court, he was ordered to be remanded in prison custody till June 29, 2017, when his case will be mentioned before the court.
The Police First Information Report (FIR) read in the court at the hearing, revealed that the accused committed the offence early this month at the said location.
